Q: Why do I need treatment after my surgery procedures?
A: Medical massage and therapy will help move the fluid by gently pumping access fluid through your lymph vessels into your lymph nodes. This will reduce swelling and discomfort. Without Medical massage and therapy the inflammation can evolve into fibrosis (a permanent hardening of the tissue) or a seroma can form. Many doctors prescribe a lymphatic drainage massage after liposuction or other plastic surgery procedures to make sure their patients get the best possible results from their procedure. Depending on your inflammatory stage, we might also introduce other therapy treatments, like the use of taping, or the use of post-op medical machines. These machines can further break down scar tissue, and help prevent other complications. Because our bodies heal and react differently to surgical procedures, there is never a cookie-cutter process for post-surgery recovery. That is why we recommend that you book an appointment and have Carolina Pintos prescribe your treatment in person.
Q: How much is a massage or treatment?
A: Our massages and treatments range from $134 to $169 depending on what you are looking to get. We also offer in-home visits for $254.00.
Q: How can I book an appointment and can I book last minute?
A: You can book online using our booking platform (click here to book online) or you can call us to book (713-474-4774). We accept last-minute appointments but do keep in mind that we are typically fully booked so we highly recommend you book ahead.
Q: Do you offer packages?
A: We have a rewards program where you earn 1 point on every visit. After accumulating 4 points, you will be get $15 off your next session. This discount can be utilized at your discretion, either immediately or on a future visit. Points can also be transferred as virtual gift cards to friends or family.
Q: How many sessions do I need to book for post op recovery?
A: This largely depends on the type of surgery you had and on how your body is dealing with the trauma of the surgical procedure(s), there is no cookie cutter treatment(s) for post surgery recovery. That is why we recommend that you book an appointment and have Carolina Pintos prescribe your treatment plan in person.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Q: Is Carolina Pintos going to be my actual therapist?
A: At Carolina Pintos Therapy, our services are primarily conducted by therapists who have undergone rigorous training under the direct supervision of Carolina Pintos. This comprehensive training program begins with two weeks of theoretical coursework, followed by several months of hands-on apprenticeship. Carolina is actively involved in developing the treatment plans for nearly every patient. For those who prefer to have their therapy sessions conducted directly by Carolina, this option is available for an additional $40 fee. Please note that all home visits are exclusively performed by Carolina Pintos herself.
